Village Handcrafted Cabinetry
This program focused on the coordination between the architect and the millwork/kitchen designer; establishing an understanding of the process and key items and schedules for both the designer and the homeowner. Attendees learned how the millwork/kitchen designer can coordinate with different parties involved in their project, understanding the areas that are in and out of the designer's scope of work, and how working with a designated designer can benefit both the architect and their client.

The first course introduced the group to fiber cement siding's physical properties and its benefits, discussing how to extend the longevity of a structure's envelope using new climate zoned cladding. The second course provided an overview of the design capabilities and possibilities of folding doors, discussing how they transform and enhance open spaces, while balancing energy efficiency and fresh air ventilation in commercial applications.
